Learn More About Emily's Journey
At age 10, Emily was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. A big time baseball player it was tough for her to be off the field while she was getting chemotherapy. Emily told her doctors her goal was to play baseball again.
In remission and now eleven, Emily dreams of playing at Baseball For All's national tournament for girls. It’s the first national baseball tournament just for girls and it would be magical for her to have the chance to play baseball alongside other girls from around the U.S.
Emily wants to be the catcher for the Los Angeles Waves. Her friends are on this team.
Understandably, her parents have too many medical bills to gather the funds for her to attend the tournament in Orlando on May 30-June 5.
In Orlando she will be with other girls who love the game as much as she does. Here on the baseball field, away from hospitals and doctors, Emily can just be a kid. She can be a girl who plays baseball.
Please help make Emily's dream come true in this once in a lifetime opportunity to play in America's first national baseball tournament for girls. Your donation will go towards flights for her and a parent, hotel room, registration fee, car rental, and meals.
Thank you for believing in 17.
