Emily (Caldwell) Redding, age 45, earned her angel wings on Saturday October 22, 2022. On Thursday October 13, 2022, Emily suffered an aortic dissection and was flown from Chambersburg to York Hospital where she underwent a 12 hour open heart surgery. After surgery she suffered a devastating stroke. In addition to this, she underwent a 2 hour craniotomy surgery, she was in a cardiovascular ICU for 7 days and in a neurology ICU for an additional 2 days before it was determined that nothing more could be done for her. Emily was an organ donor and she gave the gift of life to numerous individuals in need by donating her organs. Emily’s passing now leaves her family with medical bills and a financial strain that was unexpected and overwhelming.
