Hi, my name is Jennifer; I am raising funds for a portable and stationary oxygen concentrator for my good friend Emily.

Emily is a 32-year-old young woman with interstitial lung disease. ILD is an umbrella term used for a large group of conditions that cause scarring (fibrosis) of the lungs. The scarring causes stiffness in the lungs, making it difficult to breathe and get oxygen to the bloodstream. Lung damage from ILDs is often irreversible and gets worse over time. An autoimmune disease can cause it. Once lung scarring occurs, it's generally irreversible.

Her insurance does not cover the portable and stationary oxygen concentrator. Yet, these items are essential for Emily's mobility and the opportunity to lead a more active life than she does currently.
