Emily Menne is a beautiful, kind, animal loving, long-haired vegan queen. She has the best laugh and smile that is magnetic. She has another worldly type of positivity that makes everyone around her feel welcome, and loved.

On Friday August 26th she was in a tragic hit and run accident. The car t-boned her and her niece, and fled. Her niece is safe and healthy. Emily was taken to HCMC sustaining serious injuries. She was taken into surgery immediately on Friday night due to internal bleeding. She has sustained a broken pelvis in 2 places that she has now had surgery for. Her lung was collapsed. They inserted a tube to help drain blood from her lungs. She has many fractures in her left leg. As well as broken ribs. Recently her lung collapsed for the second time, and has an infection from another surgery. She will be out of work for 3-6 months.

Currently the goal is for her personal expenses only. This includes rent, utilities, etc bills, and food for her and her animals. Once we can figure out more about what medical bills will/could be covered then we will adjust the gofundme as needed. Currently I have reached out to a personal injury lawyer, and also working with social services at the hospital.

The good news is she is going to be fine. She does have a long road of recovery ahead of her. Everyone that knows Emily knows she is one strong woman and will pull through. She would appreciate all the good vibes, kind words, and prayers. Anything helps ❤️
