Help Emily get more treatment and give her family hope
We are raising funds to help support Emily and her family through her battle with Neuroendocrine cancer.
Emily has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. The cancer has already spread and is inoperable so the plan is to prolong her time for as long as possible to give her the most time with her husband, Mike and daughter Mollie.
Emily and Mike met at work in 2008 - best friends to lovers to husband and wife.
They got married in Italy in an intimate ceremony in 2017 after Mike proposed under the Northern lights in Iceland.
They bought their first home together and decided to start a family and after a long and difficult road, they were finally blessed with the gift of Mollie.
Emily is the most amazing, attentive and caring mummy that any child could ever want. We want to raise funds to be able to help Emily and Mike make as many memories as possible with Mollie. The memories they make now will last Mollie a lifetime and so it is important to make as many as possible.
Emily and Mike need as much financial help as possible. This has affected every area of their lives and any donation will help, including the prospect of visiting experts specialising in Emily's type of cancer.
Any donation big or small will help massively and is greatly appreciated.
Emily is amazing. An amazing mum, wife and friend and we want to give her the best chance possible. The best chance at treatment, best chance at memory making and the best chance at piece of mind through this difficult time.
Please help us to help Emily and her family.
####UPDATE####
First of all we want to express how thankful we are for all the love, support and donations that Emily and her beautiful family have received so far.
We are sharing an update and reasons for increasing our goal.
Emily finished a successful course of peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) in August 2024. The success evidenced in a shrinkage of the neuroendocrine tumours.
This was the best news for Emily to receive and ultimately gave Emily and her family time to enjoy Christmas. This treatment was gruelling and Emily deserved time to just enjoy everything and everyone she is fighting for.
It is with a heavy heart that we can now share that the most recent scans have shown both growth and spread since her course of PRRT finished. The NHS only commission 1 course per person of PRRT so this particular option is no longer available on the NHS.
Whilst Emily will undergo intensive chemotherapy for up to 6 months, we are not prepared to leave her chances down to ONE option. Therefore we are reopening this fundraiser and increasing the goal to raise as much as we can to pay for PRRT privately.
This treatment cost £50,000 per session and last time Emily had 4 as her course.
To know there is an option that has proven can help but is unavailable due to funding, is heartbreaking.
If we can do ANYTHING it’s to give Emily as many options as possible. This isn’t just about Emily. It’s about Mike and most importantly it’s about Mollie.
They need Emily here for as long as possible and we will never give up.
Emily is a fighter and she will battle this with every fibre of her being.
Please help us raise funds and HOPE for Emily, for Mike and for Mollie ♥️
