On April 14th, Emily was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer; invasive ductal carcinoma. The tumor is triple negative for estrogen, progesterone and HER2, meaning it is not hormone driven. The cancer tumor cells itself is graded a 3 out of 3, meaning they are more likely to spread and grow quickly.
Emily is currently undergoing treatment for her cancer with chemotherapy treatments. So far she has recieved 4 rounds of Adriamycin & Cytoxen, otherwise known as the red devil. She is currently recieveing Taxol chemotherapy weekly for 12 weeks.

After her chemotherapy treatments, she will have 2 weeks to recover before having her first surgery performed, followed by a second one 2 weeks later. At this time it'll be determined of radiation and a 3rd surgery is needed. Many things are still unknown regarding her surgeries on details but the doctors are focused on her taking things day by day.
