Emily Hill
Donation protected
My name is Jessica and I am writing on behalf of my parents: Becky and Chris Hill. This last Thursday, February 1st, 2024, my sister Emily suffered a traumatic seizure and stopped breathing. After several days on life support at St. Vincent, in Portland, she was declared dead today, February 5th. She was just 37 years old. My parents are now going through the process of carrying out Emily's wishes.
Emily battled her own body for her entire life. In and out of hospitals, she never expected to grow old. The one thing she always knew for sure was that she wanted to donate as much of herself, so that others can grow old in her stead. When our grandfather was dying a couple years ago, she said she wished she could give him her lungs then and there.
My parents are going through the process of having her organs donated and then have her cremated, so that her partner of 13 years, Paul Scott, can spread her ashes in the place she loved best, the Oregon Coast.
Unfortunately, the cost of cremation is not small and my parents can use support. If it is not a burden on you, our family would greatly appreciate any help.
