My sister, Lisa DiPierro and I, Jennifer DiPierro-Miller, are organizing this fundraiser to help our cousin, Emily DiPierro, to offset some of her medical expenses. 

Emily started with terrible back pain last Christmas.  After seeing her doctor and referred to an oncologist, a large mass was confirmed and believed it to be ovarian cancer.  During February’s surgery, the tumor was removed and it was determined to be stage 4 uterine cancer. 

 Emily is a fighter.  After months of chemo treatments and working remotely taking precautions during the Covid pandemic, it has been stressful balancing work and life and she has suffered financially.  We hope to help relieve some the financial burden.

 If anyone would like to support Emily in person, we are having a cancer benefit at the Sock Bar and Grill in Hickory Hills on Saturday, Sept 10^th from 2PM – 8PM with a live band and raffles.  We would love to see all there to support Emily, and please wear something with the color peach in support of uterine cancer!
