Emily Garcia Archambault & Baby Greyson

My name is Julie Archambault and I am Emily Garcia Archambault's cousin. This page has been created to help raise money for Baby Greyson and family. Dexter, Emily and Blythe, as well as Dennis (Emily’s father) and Cecilia (Emily’s mother) are displaced in Orlando while Greyson is fighting for his life. Both Dexter and Emily are unable to work during this time. It is unknown how long they will be be there and bills are already adding up. Funds raised will be used for out of pocket medical expenses and cost of living during this difficult time.

This is their story:
On February 23rd, 2019 Greyson Havok Garcia came into the world at 8 lbs 8 oz and 20.75 inches long. He was born via emergency C-Section as his heart rate had dropped tremendously due to placental abruption. He had no heartbeat when he was born, but thanks to the incredible team at Lakeland Regional they were able to resuscitate him. His lungs were filled with blood and he was immediately taken to the NICU. The team at Lakeland Regional started a cooling treatment where his body temperature was lowered for three days to give his body time to heal. Emily was not able to hold or nurse him when she came out of recovery because he had to be transported to Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando. Unfortunately because of the lack of oxygen when he was born he remains in critical condition. As of now the warming process has been completed and he is stable, but we will not know the extent of his injuries until further tests are performed. Greyson has shown improvements but there is still a long road ahead of us with many uncertainties.

The family appreciates all of the love and support they have been shown thus far.
