Emily and Anna Emergency Move

Hi there, most of you know me but for those who don’t my name is Emily Locke Thomas. I’m a single mom living and working in Lakewood with my 5 year old daughter. I live in a duplex previously rented by my ex husband, then us together. We had an insanely terrible divorce but have come to an understanding that we do what is right by our little girl. Which we do. This brings me to my situation. I moved into this house in 2014. I brought my baby home from the hospital to this house. This is where she took her first steps. This house is a big container of memories.

I got word yesterday from my ex husband that my landlord is selling this house at the end of the month. I don’t know how I can surpass this obstacle on my own. In looking for new places I realize that I had an amazing deal here and I will be paying much more for much less. But I have no choice at this moment. I have to be out quickly with very little warning and no savings to speak of.

With the money raised I would be able to pay a deposit and application fee on a new place, be able to rent a moving truck and give me a tiny bit of peace of mind when I feel like the floor is being ripped out from under me.

I love you guys. You’re my family and I have you in mine and Anna’s lives for a reason. I’m so mortified to ask for help in this way, but every tiny little bit helps.
