Emily Acosta tragically passed away after a car accident that took place on February 20, 2019.  Everyone who was blessed to know Emily saw her as a positive spirit.  She was an energetic woman with a big heart and an even bigger smile.  She was a friend to everyone.  She had just concluded her junior season playing for Ave Maria University's women's basketball team, and was looking forward to improving for next season.  During her sophomore year, she displayed her athletic ability by joining the softball program for a season as well.  She was a spunky, beautiful soul that was gifted with a great sense of humor and wit.  It was evident how much Emily loved life through her spirit on the basketball court and when she was around her many friends.  The love that she possessed for those around her will be missed for the rest of our days.  As we mourn her and try to understand the events that have taken place, we wish to support her family, especially her lovely parents, as they endure these troubling times.  This fund will be used to handle the funeral service expenses for her family.
