Emilie Rackovan Fire Relief Fund

Hi my name is Katy and I met Emilie through her fostering. She fostered my crazy and life changing cat, Seamus (formerly Laffy Taffy). More than that, Emilie has become a friend. She is such an incredible person who is truly selfless. Emilie has devoted her entire life to saving the lives of animals.

Recently Emilie moved into a new home designed around fostering. She and her dad spent countless hours redoing the floors and an entire foster room so that she can continue to help animals in need.

The morning of May 11th Emilie was awoken to a loud car alarm, glass breaking, and a team of firefighters. Her car had been set on fire. There is still a pending investigation to understand what caused the fire. As it did not start in the engine, there has been cause to believe it was arson. Unfortunately, her neighbors ring camera does not have the range to capture what happened.

This fundraiser is to bring back a peace of mind to Emilie and her animals. Understandably, she has been overwhelmed and scared. The goal here is to allow Emilie to purchase some security cameras, a security system, and help offset any costs until she is able to get a new car through insurance. As you can imagine, her car is a lifeline with so many fosters needing to go to vet appointments.

Lastly, I want you to know how reluctant she was to allow me to make this for her. Emilie has no problem doing anything and everything for others, but like so many who give so much doesn’t want to ask for help. I cannot tell you how many animals and people’s lives she has and will continue to change. Let’s make her life just the tiniest bit easier.
