EMIA Dance Donations

While I currently take 3 AP courses accumulating a 4.46 GPA, I also excel in dance. I have choreographed 3 pieces, performed center stage twice at BAM, and earned several dance awards including the Misty Copeland Award. Dance has always been my passion and a part of my life. To recieve dance training has not always been easy. My family could not afford to sign me up for dance classes so through YouTube videos I learned how to dance ballet at the age of ten. It was me and my computer for a while until my family would be able to afford dance classes.
I currently study at Youth Arts Academy and I a part of a pre-professional program called Restoration Dance Youth Ensemble. Under the direction of Ronald K. Brown and Arcell Cabaug, I am getting the training I need to be a professional dancer.
To continue my training, this summer I have the amazing opportunity to participate in Earl Mosley's Institute of the Arts(EMIA). EMIA will build my understanding of dance, perfect my ballet technique, as well as help me network with professional dancers. Unfortunately, my family does not have the money to support me for this dance program. I'm asking for donations that would allow me to attend EMIA. Any donation will be helpful, I am trying to raise $650 by Wednesday June 13, 2018 and $1,110 by June 28, 2018.
