Emi Hamada and Mike Yoshioka, Lost Everything

Imagine suddenly awakening to the smell of smoke in your home. You open your eyes and can’t see because dense smoke is filling the air. All you can think about is getting out of the house. That’s the situation Emi and Mike faced. They had to “feel” their way out of their home. They managed to get out with their lives and their bedclothes. No time to get their phones, keys, treasured items. The Fire Marshall told them they were lucky to be alive. Emi was treated for smoke inhalation and Mike has third degree burns on his hands. Their home is gone, along with all their belongings.
Emi and Mike are now staying with Mike’s sister, who lives nearby, and they are using Mike’s mother’s car as they try to put their lives back together.
Please help Emi and Mike come back from this tragedy. Your contributions will go towards basic necessities like clothes, toiletries, a place to sleep, and transportation - the essentials to begin rebuilding their lives.
