Emersyn is our sweet 16 month old little girl. On March 30th she was taken to the hospital after a doctors appointment in which her stomach was hard to the touch. Through testing that evening, she was diagnosed with a Wilm’s tumor growing out of her left kidney. On March 31st, she underwent surgery to remove both the tumor and her left kidney. The tumor ended up weighing 4 lbs. Meeting with an pediatric oncologist, we found out Emersyn needs to start chemo. On April 16th, she underwent another procedure to insert a port. She will start chemo on April 22nd for 19 weeks. Grandma will be taking Emersyn to her chemo treatments each week because Mommy is pregnant with baby number 3. This has been a shock to us considering she has always been a healthy girl with no symptoms of any problems. Emersyn is a strong little girl and we hope she will be able to get through this and live a normal healthy life. Thank you for all your support, love and prayers.
