Emerie’s Open Heart Surgery
Donation protected
On June 28th 2022, beautiful Emerie Rose Uskov was born into this world after 9 months of patiently awaiting her arrival. After a healthy pregnancy with no complications we were taken aback to learn this precious baby was born with a rare heart defect. After scans were done we were told Emerie has Tetralogy of Fallot.
Tetralogy of Fallot is a rare condition caused by a combination of 4 heart defects that are present at birth. These defects, which affect the structure of the heart, cause oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and to the rest of the body. They can only be fixed with open heart surgery.
We are asking for prayers and financial help from those who have it on their heart to support their family. As many know, it is a huge financial burden to take time off of work to be with your family during such a stressful time and not knowing how long Emeries recovery will be in the hospital. Irina is not working currently to care of her baby full time and her husband kirill will be taking time off work for Emeries surgery and possible long hospital stay.
Emerie’s open heart surgery is scheduled for November 8th 2022. Please uplift the Uskov family in your prayers and pray for every doctor, nurse and surgeon that lays their hands on her little body.
Irina and Kirill do not have their parents with them in Texas and little family to help which adds on more pressure leading up to the surgery day.
All financial support will go towards the families every day needs and to cover the medical bills which add up very quickly. Even with insurance, there are still major out of pocket expenses that no one expected.
You can also send money to kirill through Venmo @kirill-uskov

The words “Your baby has a rare heart defect, and will require open heart surgery” burned into my brain the day of Emerie’s birth.
.
Oh the tears that flooded our faces for the remainder of our stay in the hospital, I remember screaming into my pillow out to God! I kept asking God why her? It was a battle I have never ever fought before in my life.
We had so many questions.
After monitoring and checking her oxygen and saturation levels she was ok by the Cardiologist she could go home! (She passed all her tests with flying colors) Oh how happy we were,(God was already doing miracles) but we went home with our sweet heart girl not knowing anything about #chd. We were told she was going to be monitored by a Cardiologist and her surgery would be around 4-6 months of life.
Praise God for the past 3 months our girl has been growing and looking at her you would never tell her little heart is working overtime to keep her body alive.
Our heart girl is so strong! ❤️
I am asking for all the prayer warriors to join our family in prayer over Emerie’s upcoming heart surgery.
November 8th…..we will be handing over our sweet girl to the surgical team for her heart repair. I still don’t know how I will live through that day, it will be the most rewarding yet toughest day of our lives.
