A very close friend of mine was raised in NY in a chaotic and dysfunctional home. Before she reached her first birthday, her father had disappeared from her life. Her childhood was a nightmare of abuse, neglect, humiliation and emotional pain. She was one of those kids who came to school dressed in winter clothes in the summer and summer clothes in the winter. At the age of 12, her mother died and she was left orphaned, bewildered and alone.

 When she got married, she moved to Eretz Yisroel Unfortunately, her marriage mirrored her childhood. Her husband was abusive and she suffered terribly, but what hurt her most of all, was watching her children’s pain. Six young and innocent lives were being destroyed right before her eyes. She couldn’t, wouldn’t allow them to endure the suffering she had experienced in her childhood.

 Summoning all the courage she had, she separated from her unstable husband and filed for divorce. her husband has no intention of giving her a get. She is a single mother of 6 beautiful children. Her husband takes no responsibility to support his own precious children. She is doing this all by herself. She has no parents or husband to help her financially. 

 Her son is getting married in 3 weeks. A time that should be filled with joy and anticipation is turned into pain and distress. His mother is tirelessly working to keep her family afloat in the storming seas of a harsh and hurtful situation.
