My name is Paulina Ilieva, and I am based in the United Kingdom. I am fundraising as a private individual to help families in Yemen who are currently facing severe food shortages, especially during the winter months.

This fundraiser is to support Sister Safiya and several families in her local community. Safiya is a trusted contact who is directly aware of the urgent needs around her.

She shared the following message with me:

“People are suffering, everyone is affected. The situation is dire. People are struggling just to get food. It is a famine in every sense of the word. God is my witness, people are not thinking about anything except getting food.”

I am raising funds on her behalf to provide emergency food support, including:

Purchasing whole sheep or goats so families can prepare meals.

Buying essential food supplies such as flour, rice, oil, and basic staples.

Local market prices vary depending on availability:

Around $100 for a small sheep or goat

$150–$200 for medium to large sheep

Up to $300 for larger animals or support for multiple families

Funds raised will be transferred using secure money transfer services commonly used for humanitarian support. The food and livestock will be purchased locally to ensure fast distribution and to support the local community.

This fundraiser is run on a not-for-profit basis.

Thank you for supporting families facing hunger during this difficult time.
