Hi my name is Colleen Palmer and I am a friend of Michelle and Erin Saywell. Everyone that knows us knows that the pets in our lives are not just pets. Michelle and Erin's are their enitre heart. For the past few days Fruit has been fighting IPT (Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia) In ITP, the dog's own immune system attacks and destroys his or her platelets. As a result, the dog has thrombocytopenia, which is the fancy medical term for a low platelet. Fruit has had to go to the Emergency Vet so many times this week because they can not get her stable. Michelle and Erin have exhausted their credit cards and bank account. They are too proud to ask for help so I am asking for them. Lets help them get Fruit better! She is the sweetest little Fruit Bat you will ever meet!!!
