I’m starting this GoFundMe to ask for help covering urgent veterinary expenses for my dog, Butters. This is not something I ever expected to need, but the situation escalated quickly and left us with overwhelming medical costs.

Butters was boarded for two weeks at a training facility called CANIS. Before her stay ended, I was asked to pick her up early because she had developed a cough and was feeling unwell. I was told it was just a regular cold and that she should recover within a few weeks. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

After bringing her home, I noticed her condition was getting progressively worse. She became extremely lethargic, stopped eating, and began vomiting. Things escalated to the point where she developed bloody diarrhea, and we had no choice but to rush her to an emergency veterinary clinic. Since then, we’ve been in and out of both the emergency clinic and her regular vet, trying to stabilize her and get her the treatment she desperately needs.

The medical bills have added up very quickly. I’ve done everything I can to cover the costs, including opening a credit card that now needs to be paid off before interest begins to accrue. Unfortunately, the training facility has refused to take responsibility for any of the veterinary expenses, dismissing the situation as “something that happens.”

Butters is still not fully recovered, and her care is ongoing. I’m asking for help so I can continue her treatment, pay down the emergency vet bills, and focus on helping her heal instead of worrying about how to afford the next visit.
