hello! quick lil introduction,

my name is madison and my boyfriend is joseph, we’ve spent our summer 1500 miles away from home, traveling with our two dogs for his summer internship for college.

our sweet boy, kane, has had a rough summer and to top it all off, he had to be rushed to emergency surgery last night to fix a bowel obstruction. the surgery was pretty intensive and the vets said it was the most complex and time consuming foreign body removal they’ve seen in awhile. we are incredibly grateful for the fast acting and compassion that the veterinary team has showed us and are incredibly grateful that they were able to fix him up with no complications so far. kane is awake and doing well so far but has a long road of recovery ahead!

with all that being said we are now experiencing a financial hardship as these emergency expenses were not expected. with plans to travel back home within the next few weeks money is already extremely tight and with this additional unexpected cost, we’re looking for any help towards paying off his medical expenses. if you’re able to help donate at all, it would mean the world to us; even sharing this to help get the word out would be incredible!

since bringing him home this afternoon he is getting in lots of rest. he doesn’t have any external stitches or staples, but the healing of the wound will still take some time so our poor guy will have to take it easy for awhile. he has a load of medicines he’ll be on and is super groggy but hopefully will start getting back to himself soon!
