This past week has been one of the hardest I’ve had in a long time.
My dog Sage suddenly got very sick last Saturday, and I ended up at the emergency vet with her every day for the next three days — trying everything I could to help her get better. By Tuesday, her GI system had completely shut down, and she was only getting worse. On Wednesday, she had to be hospitalized for intensive care just to stabilize her.
She’s finally home now, and I’m beyond grateful — but the cost of all the visits, tests, and treatment added up fast. The bills totaled over $7,000 in just a few days.
If you know me, you know I don’t like asking for help. I’ve always carried things on my own, but this time I’m asking. I set up this GoFundMe to try and raise $2,000 to help cover part of her medical expenses.
This whole situation caught me off guard — emotionally and financially. Coming home without Sage those few days was harder than I expected, and now that she’s back, I just want to make sure she gets everything she needs to heal without the added stress of how I’m going to pay for it all.
If you’re able to contribute or even share this with someone who might, I’d deeply appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read this and support me through something that’s been really tough to navigate.
