Hey yall,
I never thought I’d be creating something like this, but the last few days have turned into an unexpected medical emergency for my dog, Prime Time.
Over the past three weeks, Prime Time developed sudden and serious urinary issues that escalated quickly. What started as difficulty urinating turned into repeated emergency vet visits, diagnostic tests, medications, catheterization, and now overnight hospitalization to prevent a life-threatening urinary blockage.
In just the last 72 hours, I’ve already paid over $3,006 out of pocket, trying to figure out what was wrong and stabilize him. Tonight, he has to remain hospitalized so they can:
• Monitor his urine output
• Keep a catheter in place to prevent obstruction
• Provide IV fluids
• Control vomiting and pain
• Run labs to determine whether infection or inflammation is the root cause
This is not elective or cosmetic care. Male dogs with urinary complications can decline very fast, and delaying treatment can be fatal. The hospitalization is meant to avoid surgery, not rush into it.
Prime Time is only 5 years old. He’s gentle, loving, stubborn in the best way, and my baby. Watching him struggle and not being able to explain to him why his body hurts has been heartbreaking.
I’ve done everything I can financially to get him this far, but the costs have piled up faster than I could prepare for. Any contribution, no matter the size, would help cover:
• Emergency diagnostics
• Hospitalization and monitoring
• Medications and IV care
• Follow-up treatment once he’s stable
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page also helps more than you know.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me give Prime Time the chance to heal and come home safely.
