We are raising funds to help cover the cost of an emergency vet visit for Poe.

We noticed some bathroom issues on Saturday and took him to our vet thinking he may have a UTI. Unfortunately, it ended up being a urethral obstruction due to crystals in his urine (cause of the crystals is unknown at this point). The obstruction was causing a backup of urine in his bladder and into his kidneys. We luckily caught it in time to avoid his bladder bursting.

We were transferred to the emergency vet where they were able to break up the obstruction and place a catheter. Unfortunately, he ended up with another blockage on Sunday and we were told the next step would be surgery. He ended up staying at the emergency vet for 3 nights costing about $8,000.

He's been transferred to a specialist and they will be performing a PU surgery to reconstruct his urethra. This will run us another $4,000-5,000.
