My name is Rose and I’m reaching out for help for my beloved dog Marty. He ingested a dangerous quantity of Xylitol from chewing gum and spent a day in critical condition, being monitored at the emergency vet hospital.

Xylitol is a sugar free additive that is more toxic to dogs than chocolate or grapes. Marty is finally out of the woods, thank god. If you’re able to help with his medical bills, we really appreciate it.

The coming together of community and help that I’ve seen since my original post has been so inspiring.

I’m very grateful for all the help we received and any that comes in while we’re recovering financially from this emergency.

Please keep your chewing gum away from pets! Xylitol is also used as a sweetener in many sugar free foods. I hope our chaos can help spread awareness at the very least.
