Emergency Vet Care for Leon After Being Attacked

Leon Was Attacked — Please Help.

Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

A fun day at the beach for Alysa, Leana, and my grand dog Leon today, turned into a nightmare.

While Leana was running with Leon, on leash, at Topanga beach, he was suddenly and violently attacked by another dog. The injuries were traumatic and severe. Leon was rushed to the emergency vet and is currently in surgery as I write this.

The preliminary estimated cost for surgery and immediate care is $6,000 — and that’s if everything goes smoothly. Depending on what they find during scans, surgery and how he recovers, the total could be higher. They are currently exploring his abdomen for internal organ damage due to deep puncture wounds.

To make matters worse, the owner of the attacking dog is not responding to calls or texts.

Leon is more than just a dog. He is my daughter’s world — her constant companion, emotional support, and best friend. Watching her and Leon go through this is heartbreaking.
