Emergency Vet Care for Flapjack

Hello everyone, my name is Justin Giampavolo. It is with a heavy heart I reach out to you all today to fund my cat's emergency surgery. Last night, my wife noticed our cat, Flapjack, not feeling well and took him to the vet this morning. It is good she did because he was taken shortly after arriving to get emergency surgery. His urethra was blocked, and he had been unable to urinate the entire night. He is currently in the pet hospital and will stay there for the next 3 days. He may even require another, more advanced surgery in the future.

The primary purpose of this GoFundMe is to raise funds to cover the surgery he has already had and purchase the required changes in our home that we will need. The surgery itself is $1,400-$1,800 (he is still in the pet hospital, and we have not got the final bill yet). We will also be switching him over to wet food for the rest of his life.

UPDATE: The surgery went well and Flapjack will be out of the pet hospital sometime Wednesday. His diet will be altered from dry food to wet food, and water from tap to distilled.

Update2: Flapjack is home with medication as of Friday. He will take pain meds until Monday and is otherwise on the way to recovery.
