Emergency Vet Care for Dobble, An endangered Poitou Donkey

Hi, I’m Tracey, and I run La Drome Donkey Sanctuary here in France.

I’m reaching out with a very heavy heart — because one of our precious donkeys, Dobble, is in serious trouble.

Dobble is a rare Poitou donkey, one of the last of her kind. She recently went through a traumatic birth and lost both her babies. Now, she’s fighting for her life with serious internal bleeding. She’s in a specialist clinic, and every day truly matters.

She’s in pain, but she hasn’t given up. And neither have we.

I’ve cared for Dobble for years. She’s sensitive, sweet, and had finally started to trust again. She deserved a joyful life — not this. We are doing everything we can, but the vet bills are piling up fast, and I’m honestly struggling to cover them on my own.
