Emergency Vet bills for Mello

Update: As of 8/12/22 @ 2PM Mello has taken a turn for the worse. The doctors are still focused on IMHA as this is what is the main cause for his sickness. He is still not stable enough to come home and today we found out he could have potential mass on one of his glands. Right now we’re focusing on IHMA… every night stay in the hospital is almost another $2500/day. I am paid through tomorrow evening at 8pm but I am officially tapped with funds. I don’t know what else to do he can get better from this but it requires time and I am asking for any help to try to get him the care he needs for a couple more days . If you can help at all I would be ever so greatful. I have already put in $7200 and would hate to be faced with the decision of putting him down tomorrow if I can’t come up with the additional funds to give him the couple more days he needs to be monitored. Hi, my name is Brandon. On 8/10/22 my 7 year old dog and best friend Mello was rushed to the ER where we are undergoing extensive testing to find out what is wrong. Right now we’re told based on the testing that is being done his liver is enlarged a red blood cell count is extremely low. As of this evening his receiving his first blood transfusion with the hopes of this to help him improve while they work to diagnose the cause. Currently they do not think it is cancer but have sent lab test out to pathologist to confirm and we should know more tomorrow. What is on the table is possible liver failure and the possibility of an auto immune disease which is why we have begun a blood transfusion. We not know what the anticipated bills are to come but we do know that this could be costly. I am never one to beg or air my business to anyone, especially ask for help but right now we sure need any we can get. Our initial bill today was $5,000 and I was able to cover it but I am worried for what’s to come, the vet has hinted that more blood transfusions could be in the plan which means another 5 days in the hospital plus the transfusion. I am asking for a miracle this dog is my best friend and saved me when I was at my lowest point of my life with no where to go in 2015. We have a bond unlike anything I have ever seen, and a personality that will light up anyones day. Please I am asking from the bottom of my heart if anyone can help I would be ever so greatful.
