Hi, my name is Michelle Furgiuele and I'm fundraising for my friend Tammy Currie's dog Katie.
On September 14th Katie was viciously attacked by her neighbour's German shepherd that was visiting next door. He was off leash and, unprovoked, ran to Tammy's porch, destroying the spindles and grabbing poor Katie through the gated porch. He proceeded to bite, maul and shake her until Tammy and others could save her from him.
She was rushed to the emergency vet in Barrie. She underwent a 3 hour surgery and over 100 stitches. She was seen again this morning for more pain medication and to monitor for infection.
She is not out of the woods yet.
- The owners of this dog are refusing to pay any vet bills!! Its almost 3000 already with many more visits to come.
