Support Kealy: Single Mom of 4 in desperate need of help

Hi, my name is kealy and I’m a single mom of 4 in an emergency situation. This took a lot for me to do as I’m embarrassed to publicly ask for help.

My car (mini van) just completely broke down on Tuesday September 10th with a failed transmission. I’m in desperate need of a vehicle that can fit myself and my 4 children in it as soon as possible.

I receive no financial support from my 3 children’s father, and I receive no support from my youngest son’s father as he’s currently incarcerated and was never much in his life to begin with.

These past 3 months have been extremely difficult financially with rent/bills, summer camp fees for my 3 oldest, and every day expenses, etc. I work full time at a daycare as a preschool teacher and use my vehicle for my daily commute as well.

Last week my food stamps randomly cut off with no explanation on the day I was expecting them to come in. I’ve been trying to get ahold of social services for days now with no luck. And now am not able to get to the office with no vehicle + work each day.

My rent is due on Sunday the 15th and my landlord is not lenient due to backed up payments. I basically have to choose a place to live or a car and obviously a place to live is the only right option.

I have been struggling to make ends meet for a while now and by the grace of god I always figure out a way but this time im extremely panicked with everything falling apart at once. I have no family support as it’s just my mother alive and she’s disabled and unwell.
