Hi, my name is Nathalie and I am fundraising for my horse Shiloh.

My sweet happy healthy 6 year old Quarter Horse got seriously injured when kicked by a horse. The kick was so powerful that she got a fracture, ruptured the Calcaneal Bursa and Gatrocnemius Bursa in her hock (I know, lots of difficult medical words, but it's bad!), which has allowed infection into her system and without proper treatment it will kill her!

She is currently being hospitalized at Loomis Basin Equine Center where the vet has come up with an intensive life saving antibiotic regimen. Antibiotics will be injected directly into the damaged tissue as well intravenously, and using a tourniquet style bandage to keep large amounts of antibiotics in the damaged leg.

This treatment is intense and expensive; the current vet's estimate is $9000.- and I am unable to come up with that much money in such a short time. The treatment gives her the best chance of complete recovery. That's why I am asking for your help!

Short story about Shiloh for those who don't know her. I adopted Shiloh when she was 3 years old. She was a rescue and very misunderstood. She was only a baby and already had such a hard life. The previous owners injured her back, gave her lots of mental trauma which resulted in her being slightly hostile. I was her last hope because people thought she was crazy. She is not! She was just in pain and needed some love and care. She came into my life and with lots of patience, love and rehabilitation she became a beautiful, sweet and loyal girl. She became healthy, comfortable and loves people now. She is the kind of horse that says hello to everyone, is up for any adventure and loves to snuggle. She is just the best.
