My name is Janice. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY ... TIME IS CRITICAL ... and NOT JUST FOR ME. At the age of 70, through no fault of my own (and with little notice), I'm going to be displaced, uprooted from my home ... due to the sudden sale of the property where I rent. It was the only place that I could afford, surviving solely on my S.S. widow's benefits (my below poverty- level income). I'm at immediate risk of homelessness and urgently need financial help, right now ... to secure SAFE, stable, emergency shelter, A.S.A.P. Without immediate help ... I will be left without shelter, stability or the basic safety that all elderly deserve. I'M NOT JUST ASKING FOR MYSELF ...

IF ... I can't raise the funds, to secure an EMERGENCY place to live (BEFORE homelessness occurs) ... I will lose my beloved, long-term companion ... Toby (my cat) ... who brings comfort, affection and happiness into my life, 24/7. He was an abandoned stray who chose me to be his ONLY person, in the world. We are very bonded ... I promised myself, that I will take care of him ... for life. If I'm not able to prevent homelessness ... BEFORE it actually happens ... there won't be a way to keep that PROMISE. And ... without any viable options ... I will have to surrender him ... to a shelter. Because he doesn't adapt to being around people (other than me) and doesn't cope with stressful environments ... he will be very traumatized, there (or any other option than continuing the life that he has, now) ... his future prospects will be very bleak. TOBY DOESN'T DESERVE THAT ENDING, TO HIS STORY. I urgently need your help ... to save him (by immediately sharing this fundraiser and and donating, right away.

As for me, I'm a survivor of deeply damaging, long-term, almost unimaginable trauma, in my life ... and, as a result ... I stay mostly to myself. So, I don't have a personal support system, of people to turn to, for help. In an effort, to help myself ... I've researched ... followed through ... and "fallen through the cracks" of traditional assistance agencies (not meeting various criteria to be eligible.

Funds that I receive will be used IMMEDIATELY to secure emergency shelter, cover all related costs and essential living expenses, etc. ... followed by an all-out effort to secure a long-term home. Though, I'm praying for a permanent solution ... security, stability, and safety (Is home ownership possible or only a dream?) ... this blessing, will prevent future risk of displacement/homelessness and to truly establish roots. However, I will be extremely grateful for ANY and ALL help that I receive, to RESCUE us ... ensuring that Toby and I have safe shelter, is everything.
