6-8 weeks out of work after emergency surgery!

Hello. My name is Jason and I am humbly asking for help. I am an independent sub-contractor and the sole breadwinner in my family. I was renovating an apartment that I rented for my family and contracted an infection on the bottom of my foot after getting a blister from some new sneakers. I powered through the pain and worked much longer than I should have but was already in a tight spot with bills. When I went to the ER to get it looked at they immediately admitted me and an hour later I was in the operating room. They cut my foot from top between my 2nd and 3rd toes all the way to the bottom and scraped the infection and dead tissue away. 2 days later I had my second surgery to attempt to close it back up. The surgeons were able to close the hole up 95% of the way so there is still an opening and the dressing has to be changed every 48 hours. I did t work much at all the week prior to being admitted due to the pain and swelling. I stayed in the hospital 6 days before being discharged and can't walk on it for at least 4-6 weeks. Upon discharge I spent every dime I had to my name to rent a very low class motel since it was all I could afford. The rooms are run down and infested with roaches. It's the only option I had since I am sure the source of the MRSA I contracted was the apartment I have been renting. I notified the landlord of the unsafe conditions and his response was to tell us to vacate and he had someone else to rent the apartment. I am trying any and all avenues to try and get some help with a place to stay since we have 3 nights left of the week I paid for here at the "roachmotel" I have no idea what we will do 3 days from now since I've had no income and it will be at least another month before I can even think about returning to work. My truck broke down on me about 2 months ago. I saved every penny I could and bought a 2014 Ford focus from a friend and 5 days after purchase the head gasket blew leaving me back at square one. I've contacted several attorneys including legal aid and it's either a waiting game or they want money up front. I am in touch with case workers from the hospital and local community case workers but homelessness is at an all time high and funds are delayed everywhere I turn. I have always been independent and take care of my family on my own. With covid and the steady decline in our economy bills have continued to pile up and I've gotten behind but now that I am not able to earn a living at all I am scared to death and don't have a clue where to turn. If I could come up with $1600 I could secure a small mobile home with deposits and utilities and a couple months worth of rent. By that time I hope to be rehabilitated and able to return to work. I dont have credit and have always paid cash for what I have. I still don't have a vehicle and I am relyant on Medicaid for transportation to and from my follow up appointments with wound care and pediatry. I don't like to ask anyone for anything but I have no choice at this point but to swallow my pride and ask for some help. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will not be wasted. Thank you for those of you who even took the time to read my story. The Lord hasn't let me down before and I know he will see me through this giant hurdle as well. Thank you and God bless you.
UPDATE:We just found out today that Red Cross and local community resources are all out of funds to help folks in our situation. We have until this Friday to figure out where we are going to go. Being unable to earn a living right now, the only place we have to go as of right now is the apartment where I contracted the MRSA. I really don't want to be forced to stay there and risk going this all over again. If anyone can help or if a yone knows of a weekly rental or something cheap for rent please let us know. Thank you all for you kind response. Prayers are gladly accepted too!
