Last night, Loretta was run over by a truck on a busy road. I rushed her to the emergency vet, over an hour away. She's currently in ICU with ruptured bladder and spleen. The ICU visit has already cost $4,000, which I do not have. The surgery to save her life will be another $8,000, and then whatever the charge is for her to recover in the hospital. Those of you that know me know how much she means to me. I cannot imagine my life without her. I have been in financial strife for a few years now and this is an unforseen expense that I cannot bear. Over the years, when I was able, I always gave freely and generously to causes like this one, for friends and acquaintances alike. Now I am asking for help to save my baby.
