Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out during one of the most unexpected and challenging moments of my life.
On Saturday, March 28th, I was admitted to the hospital due to a severe esophageal obstruction. The very next day, Sunday, March 29th, I had to undergo emergency surgery. Since then, I’ve been fighting to recover, starting in the ICU and now thankfully progressing into my own hospital room.
At this time, I am unable to swallow and am being fed through a tube while my body heals. Although I am improving day by day, I still don’t have a clear timeline for when I’ll be discharged or fully recovered.
This situation has also created a major financial setback. I was scheduled to begin a new job, but due to this medical emergency, I have not been able to start. That loss of income, combined with medical and living expenses, has placed me in a very difficult position.
I am also a FEMA reservist in emergency management, where I’ve been part of efforts to support individuals and communities during times of crisis. I’ve always taken pride in being someone who shows up to help others when they need it most. Right now, I find myself in an unexpected position where I need that same support.
I am asking for help to cover:
- Medical-related expenses and recovery needs
- Monthly bills and basic living costs during this time
- The gap in income while I heal and regain strength
My goal is to raise $15,000 to help stabilize things while I focus on recovery and getting back to work.
If you’re able to give, any amount truly helps. If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to me.
I’m committed to healing, staying strong, and getting back on my feet, and I deeply appreciate any support, prayers, and encouragement during this time.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
— Brian
