EMERGENCY… BUT GOOD NEWS! Ollie is Recovering!

This week, our beloved cattle dog, Ollie, swallowed a piece of corn cob. For a dog, this is life-threatening — corn cobs don’t dissolve and can cause a complete intestinal blockage. Thanks to the incredible care of our vet team, Ollie underwent emergency surgery and is now recovering at home.

The surgery was successful, but the unexpected medical bill came to $6,500. As new parents, we are stretched thin with the costs of caring for a newborn, and covering Ollie’s emergency care has been a challenge.

We are humbly asking for help to cover the remaining medical expenses. Every dollar, every share, and every bit of kindness helps us ensure Ollie gets the care he deserves as he heals and enjoys many more happy, healthy years with our family.

Help Save Ollie – Our Loyal Cattle Dog Who Needs Emergency Surgery

Ollie isn’t “just a dog” — he’s family. He’s been by our side through every chapter of our lives. Ollie is inseparable from my husband, Drew, and has been my constant companion and protector. While I was pregnant with our now 4-month-old baby, Ollie never left my side. He would follow me from room to room, watch over me when I rested, and even curl up next to me on nights when my pregnancy pains made it hard to sleep. When our baby came home, Ollie took his role as “big brother” seriously, always gentle, always watching, always protecting.

Now, this brave, loving dog who has always taken care of us desperately needs us to take care of him.

We’ve called every vet we could find. The cheapest surgery quote we’ve received is $11,000 — and it must happen immediately to save his life. We’ve applied for financing, but were not approved for the full amount. We’ve exhausted every option we can think of, but we simply don’t have the funds. As new parents, we’ve already been stretched thin with expenses from childbirth and caring for our baby. This unexpected emergency has left us heartbroken and desperate.

Ollie is only a couple of years old. He’s full of life, full of love, and has so many years ahead of him. Losing him would not only break our hearts — it would leave our home without its protector, our baby without his furry guardian, and us without our best friend.
