Surgery to save Daisy’s life

Hello my name is Amelia Medina, I created this account to raise money for Daisy’s emergency surgery. Daisy was born on February 22, 2021. She is by far the sweetest little duck you’ll ever meet. She is greatly loved by her human parents Amelia and Owen, and especially her sister Tulip who has been inseparable from her since they hatched. On January 6th we took Daisy to the emergency room, she was having difficulty breathing so the vet immediately put her in an oxygen chamber. The bad news is after paying for X-rays and blood work and an overnight stay her X-rays discovered she swallowed foreign objects and needs immediate surgery that cost approximately $5000. The good news is that it’s very common and curable, just unfortunately expensive. We do not want to stop fighting for her life - any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Update: Daisy is currently home against medical advice we’ve tried everything in our power to be able to afford to keep her in the care of the hospital, but the best we could do is get her pain medication and antibiotics. We’re still trying to find another route for treatment immediately. Thanks to all who have donated, please continue to share this amongst friends and family.

This is the estimate from our primary vet in Pasadena. Daisy is scheduled for surgery January 31, 2022 at 9AM.

Daisy’s surgery is postponed due to a fracture that was overlooked by Access on January 6, 2022. She was prescribed Meloxicam, Antibiotics, DMSA and tramadol today. Her surgery will have to wait until she makes a full recover which can take up to 3-4 weeks. She is stable and receiving proper treatment.
