Emergency surgery, monthly bill help

I'm not one to do this but I do not have any options at this time.

My name is Danielle and on Thursday Dec 19th I went in for emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. The surgery was difficult and the DR almost gave up during the surgery due to inflammation saying this was an issue for nearly a week.

I will not be given the OK to return to work until possibly Jan 15th after my follow up appointment. I have used all my PTO available. And my health insurance is not active until Jan 1st. With it also being the holidays it has been difficult to get in contact with my employer to discuss options to try and receive even a small amount of my pay while I am off. As this was totally unexpected.

I am unable to care for myself at this time and my husband has had to stay home with me as well as I cannot do basic tasks on my own currently. His job will not pay him to be out of work despite him having active insurance since he is only care giving and not the one who is ill.

I know this is a big ask as it's the holidays and so many people are struggling right now. But I am just trying to exhaust every option. Any amount helps.
