Hello everyone,

My name is LaVonna, and I’m humbly reaching out during a very challenging and unexpected time in my life.

Recently, I underwent an emergency open abdominal surgery due to a rare condition called intussusception, which, if left untreated, could have become life-threatening within days. Part of my intestines had lost blood supply and had to be surgically removed and reconnected to save my life. Thanks to a timely CT scan and the grace of God, I’m still here. However, my recovery journey is far from over.

While in the hospital, I was also diagnosed with gastritis and C. difficile (C. diff)—a serious infection likely caused by the antibiotics used during my hospital stay. As someone who has always prioritized natural health and rarely relied on medications, this entire experience has been both physically and emotionally overwhelming.

Unfortunately, I was recently laid off from my position at UnitedHealthcare, and with that layoff, I also lost my medical coverage. I will need at least two months to recover before I can begin working again, and during this time.

While my husband does have income, my absence leaves a major gap in what’s needed to cover our household expenses, medical bills, groceries, and basic needs. We simply cannot sustain everything on one income alone during this healing period.

I’ve always been independent, resilient, and someone others come to for support—especially in the wellness community I’ve poured into for years. But right now, I find myself needing help.
