My name is Liam Murphy, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for my sister Gabrielle and her husband Justin, who recently moved to China last month for work.

Because they’re still within their employment probation period, they currently don’t have medical insurance coverage.

Yesterday, while playing baseball, Justin suffered a serious accident, he fell hard and dislocated and fractured his collarbone and shoulder blade. They rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed that the injuries are severe and require surgery, followed by a hospital stay for recovery.

Unfortunately, the hospital requires full payment upfront, and the cost of surgery and care is far beyond what they can afford right now. Without the operation, Justin faces extreme pain, limited mobility, and potential long-term damage.

They’re now back at their apartment while trying to figure out their next steps. Justin is in significant pain, with only Tylenol and Advil available to manage it at this time.

This is a heartbreaking and stressful situation for them, being so far from home, facing language barriers, and dealing with a major medical emergency without insurance or support.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Justin’s surgery, hospital costs, and medication so he can receive the urgent care he needs and begin recovering safely.
