Emergency Surgery Fund for Alice Bell

If you asked me to describe Mrs. Alice Bell, I would have to say that she is a strong, nurturing, outspoken, dependable, God-Fearing woman who is pretty awesome too. She has always been willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Sometimes even before her own.  She’s spent countless nights at hospitals or with families in their darkest times.

We have recently learned that Alice is in need of an immediate  surgery. The doctors have discovered an incarcerated hernia in conjunction with her ongoing battle with diverticulitis. This is life threatening and must be addressed despite the COVID19 outbreak.  It has been scheduled at Eastside Hospital on this Thursday April 23 at 8am. 

This all came to us a shock not only because of the severity and all of those feelings that come along with it, but also because of the expense. Ironically Alice isn’t eligible for Medicare for another 6 months....and  like many of us, are hurting for work due to the recent events in our country. 

If she doesn’t  have to spend the night, the cost of the surgery is approximately $10,000.00 with a $2,000.00 deposit due on this Wednesday April 22.  

Alice has a need now. This is when we can all give her something in return . To pay it forward perhaps. All amounts are appreciated as well as prayers.
