Emergency Surgery for Yuki, the cute doggy
Ericka is my best friend, she is like a sister to me. And that's not a misspelling, you see, Yuki is Ericka’s dog and she has Canine Pyometra.

Canine Pyometria is an illness that usually develops in female dogs who are older than 5 years old and have never had puppies. It occurs when a bacteria accidentally enters the vaginal canal during estrus (heat). This causes the uterus to become infected. Sadly this condition is very serious and life-threatening, Yuki needs surgery as soon as possible in order to save her life!
Sadly all of us, Ericka, her family, and me are currently not in the best financial position. Ericka just graduated college and is still looking for a job, so she doesn’t have the means to get more money for Yuki.
As it is Yuki needs injections every day in order to help prepare her for the potential surgery. Each injection costs 20 dollars. Yuki’s surgery is scheduled for this Friday, May 24th. We really need to get the money that she needs before then! The longer we wait, the more likely it is that Yuki condition can worsen.

Ericka saw Yuki out on the streets one rainy day, cold and afraid on the sidewalk. The poor thing was only a puppy, barely a few weeks old. Later we would find out that the owner of Yuki’s mom was just not very good at making sure her new puppies stayed safe inside the house.
Ericka went out in the rain and picked up the poor scared dog in her arms and brought her into her home. They instantly fell in love with each other and have been inseparable ever since!

Once the rain stopped she spoke to the owner of Yuki’s mom and begged them to let her keep the sweet puppy. They agreed since they had no intention on keeping the puppies for long anyway and were looking for someone to take them. Ericka was extremely happy!
For the next five years, Yuki has proven to be a lovable and energetic dog. She’s sweet and playful, a totally pampered girl who loves attention. She greets everyone with excitement and is full of love that she gives out with abandon, she’s a beautiful beam of light. Even though she is not mine I truly love her, she has made me smile countless times and made my days better when I’ve been down. I’m sure my friend, Ericka feels just the same.

If Yuki dies I don’t even want to imagine the gigantic hole she will leave behind in our hearts. I’ve always felt a bit odd asking strangers for help, but I have no choice. I just want to make sure I did everything in my power to save her, she still has a lot of life in front of her and our deepest wish is to see her be able to enjoy it once more.
I can not express how thankful we both are for anything you can do to help Yuki, even just sharing this around to get more people to see it.
We don’t have much time.
Thank you so much,
Zeli
