Emergency Surgery for Teachers Rescue Dog
Donation protected
Hello. I am asking for help for a retired art teacher friend that has an unexpected emergency with her sweet rescue bloodhound. Sweet Bear threw up a rock this morning and his worried mom rushed him to the local vet. X-rays show four more rocks in his stomach track and on me ready to be dropped at the pool. This friend has dedicated her life to helping students grow through art at a local school here in Jacksonville. She spend much of her extra funds over the years on supplies instead of retirement and the rest went to supporting her two beautiful current rescue hounds. These big boys eat a lot but as puppies have had some accidents. A recent home downsize may have stressed Bear. Let’s show this teacher some love and support by helping with the surgery costs.
As of noon 4/22 we have an estimate only of $2500 so hoping it will be less. We will provide updates as we can.
You can also donate directly to the vet by calling them.

THANK YOU to all that have contributed so far.
Bear is doing well but still very sleepy which is to be expected. He needs to start drinking and peeing or he will have to go back to the vet today for fluids and observation. They are doing everything they can to keep costs down for mom. J has to go check on him and then call the vet for a report. Cindi is hanging around here just in case. Family ordered Bear a surgery suit so he won’t get to his sutures. At least tomorrow is behind us. This was HUGE surgery.
