Emergency surgery for Shiva

Shiva and I need your help.

Shiva is a 14 year old longhair cat and she’s been with me since she was a kitten. She’s the most affectionate cat and a walking purr machine.

She recently got what we thought was an eye infection that turned out to be an abscess caused by her bad teeth. She got an emergency intervention in January. The vet told us she needed to have all her teeth removed in order to prevent the problem from happening again. I was trying to find a way to get the money for the dentistry appointment (which is around 3k$) and in the meantime, the abscess came back stronger, carving a hole into her gums through her eye socket. We went back to the vet and they told us she needed that teeth extraction as soon as possible, the infection having caused a deep ulcer in her left eye.

Until she gets her appointment, she needs a constant cocktail of antibiotics and painkillers to slow down the infection. It’s extremely expensive (had to spend 1.6k$ so far) and I can see her suffering, which is truly heartbreaking.

The vet who saw her both times assured me she was healthy otherwise and that she could live very well without her teeth, which are the cause of the problem.

I am asking people for some help with the expensive veterinary fees as cannot take on that financial pressure with my current situation. Any donations or sharing of this campaign would help greatly.
