Ripley is my husband's girl! Being a disabled veteran has been a rough road at times, she has calmed him and been at his side unconditionally. Ripley needs emergency surgery it’s going to cost up to $8000.00.  She had a mass on her spleen that ruptured, and it is life-threatening.

During today's examination, we discovered that Ripley has free blood in her abdomen, likely due to internal bleeding from what is  a ruptured mass on her spleen. This is a very serious and life-threatening condition that requires immediate attention.

The x-rays we took showed changes in her spleen and significant fluid in her abdomen. Her gums were slightly pale and grayish pink, which is consistent with internal bleeding.

We discussed that the ideal treatment would be emergency surgery to remove the spleen. Without surgery, this condition will unfortunately be fatal, and there is a risk of sudden severe bleeding.

For now, she was prescribed Yunnan Baiyao, a medication that can help control bleeding by making clotting times go faster:

- There is a special "emergency pill" in the center of the package that can be given if signs of active bleeding (such as extreme lethargy or collapse).

It's crucial that Ripley:

- Gets complete rest

- Avoids any excitement or strenuous activity

- Receives immediate emergency care if she becomes very weak or collapses.
