Hi friends, family, and kind strangers —

My sweet dog Sawyer is more than a pet; she’s my best friend, my shadow, and my source of joy every single day.

This morning I rushed her to the vet, and the news broke my heart: Sawyer has bladder stones that are causing her pain and could become life-threatening if not treated right away. Without emergency surgery, she could suffer a complete blockage, which would be fatal. The surgery, tests, and aftercare will cost around $7000, which is more than we can cover on our own right now.

Sawyer has been with me through thick and thin. She’s the goofy, loving pup who greets everyone with a wiggle butt and has comforted me during some of my hardest days. Now she needs me — and I’m reaching out for help to make sure she gets the care she needs.
