Our beloved 14-year-old, Angel, ate a box of tissues, the box itself, a very long knee-sock, and a hair "scrunchy". We took her to the pet hospital, and they removed the contents of her stomach and lower intestine, but now she has pneumonia. She needs to stay in the hospital at least 48 hours, possibly more, which is much longer than we expected. The surgery was $5000, and each day additional is $1000. We just put down her sister, Shanti (Angel is resting her head on Shanti in the photo), on July 3rd. Angel was just at the vet in early September, and the vet was shocked at how healthy Angel is for her age, 14 years and 4 months. Kevin, as many of you know, just lost his mother, and we are not ready to lose our Angel. We are confident that she will make a full recovery. Any help that you can give us to offset the expense of this unexpected tragedy will be very much appreciated. We're sorry and a bit embarrassed to ask for help, but it's just too much for us right now.
