Hi friends. I have created this fundraiser for my sister in law’s sweet, loving, and irreplaceable 2.5 year old Frenchie, Diesel, who recently underwent emergency spinal surgery after suffering two herniated discs in his neck.

Diesel is more than just their dog — he’s truly the heart of their family. With his goofy personality, boundless energy, and constant little snorts, Diesel brings joy to everyone he meets. He’s the kind of dog who senses when you need love and never hesitates to give it, whether it’s a cuddle on a hard day or a burst of silly zoomies to make us laugh.

Just days ago, Diesel suddenly became paralyzed with pain and unable to move his head. He was in such severe discomfort that he had to be sedated to prevent any movement and relieve his suffering. After urgent consultation with a neurologist, it was clear that immediate surgery was the only option to give him a chance at relief and recovery.

Thanks to the fast action and attentive care of the veterinary team, Diesel made it through surgery successfully and is now beginning the long road to recovery. We’re incredibly grateful for that miracle because permanent damage was absolutely a possibility — but the financial burden they now face is overwhelming.

Even with pet insurance, the total cost of the surgery, hospitalization, imaging, and post-operative care is expected to reach $15,000, far more than what insurance will cover. Especially considering he already had a number of other medical concerns that required attention this past year.

That’s why I created this GoFundMe — to help ease the weight of this unexpected cost for my family and give Diesel the best chance at a full, pain-free life. He still has so much love to give.
