Help a Single Mom Heal After Emergency Spinal Surgery

I never thought I would be in this position, but I need help. I am a single mom with two daughters, and this week I was told that I have a herniated disc so severe it is narrowing my spinal cord. The pain has been unbearable for days. Even strong pain medication and injections haven’t touched it and now I am scheduled for emergency neck surgery so I don’t risk permanent damage.

I don’t have health insurance and I can’t work for at least six weeks while I recover. I am the only provider for my kids and without help I will not be able to cover our rent, utilities, food, or the medical bills from this surgery. On top of being scared about the surgery itself, I am terrified of how we will stay afloat while I heal.

Anything raised will help cover my hospital and surgery costs, our basic living expenses while I’m unable to work, and the follow up care and therapy I will need to recover. Every bit helps, even if it’s just sharing this so it can reach more people. My biggest hope is to get through this surgery and recovery without the added fear of my girls and I losing the little stability we have.
